Southern Company awarded a contract to WSC to provide a simulator for the Georgia Power Company, Plant McIntosh Unit 10 2x1 Combined Cycle Power Plant, which includes two GE PG7241FA DLN combustion turbines using natural gas as fuel. The combined steam output of the Deltak HRSG supplies an Alstom Steam Turbine/Generator set. The total combined cycle plant output under nominal conditions is approximately 688 MWe. The simulation will include all necessary process models, Instructor Station, emulation of the GE Mark V CT and Alstom P400 ST control logic and their HMIs, and integration of an Emerson Ovation Virtual BOP DCS.
